Terms & Conditions

For the purposes of this agreement "The Hall" refers to Eccleston Village Hall in its entirety & "The Hirer" refers to you the customer.

  • The Hirer shall be responsible for the orderly behaviour and damage caused by their guests and/or suppliers hired to cater for the event. If damage occurs, the "Damage Deposit" paid will be used to cover the damages; any damages incurred greater than the "Damage Deposit" shall be the responsibility of The Hirer.

  • The Hirer shall be responsible for leaving The Hall in a clean and tidy condition upon leaving, taking with them any waste produced. This includes the main hall, kitchen, toilets & storeroom.

  • All kitchen equipment used, including cooker, dishwasher, glasses, cutlery, plates, etc. They are to be cleaned and returned to where they came from.

  • If food and /or drinks are consumed during the period of hire, all spillages shall be cleaned and the area mopped.

  • If alcohol is being sold or offered as a prize, it is the responsibility of the Hirer to apply for a Temporary Events Notice from the local council (This can take up to 12 working days to be granted).

  • Any & all equipment used from the storeroom, i.e. Tables, chairs, etc, must be returned to the storeroom & stored in the same way they were found upon entering The Hall.

  • All lights & the heating shall be switched off and all doors shall be closed and locked by the Hirer at the end of the Period of hire.

  • The Hirer shall be responsible for following the Fire Safety Regulations as stated on the notice board and https://www.ecclestonvillage.net/fire-safety, Current Licensing Laws, Current Copyright Laws & the No Smoking Regulations.

  • Any alterations to any part of The Hall and/or any equipment or property belonging to The Hall are strictly prohibited.

  • The use of nails, screws, tape, pins or any other type of adhesive is strictly prohibited on any surface, fixture or item belonging to The Hall.

  • Cancellations should be made no later than 7 days before the date of the Hire. A refund of the booking cost & damage deposit will be made within 30 days of the cancellation. Any cancellations made less than 7 days before the date of hire shall not be refunded except for the damage deposit.

PLEASE NOTE THE 25% RESERVATION FEE ON WEDDINGS IS NON-REFUNDABLE, REGARDLESS OF CANCELLATION.

PARTIES FOR AGES 16 & 18 ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
PLEASE ENSURE YOUR GUESTS LEAVE THE HALL QUIETLY!
